On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, my wife, Trudie, daughter Eve, and son, Lawrence and I delivered toy, knitted hat and blanket donations to the Children's Hospital of Georgia for the staff to distribute and provide comfort and smiles to the pediatric patients. This was all made possible by the generosity of our clients and those in the community that donated items to "Fill the Wagon." Not only did we fill one wagon, but we filled three! A huge thank you to you all!
This cause means a lot to my family, as my daughter Eve had T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) from December 2013 to Fall of 2017. The mission of the “Fill the Wagon” drive is to give back to the great doctors and nurses at CHOG, as well as families that are going through this kind of ordeal with their own children. I'd also like to thank WJBF for featuring this story last week: https://www.wjbf.com/.../local-business-owner-gives-back.../
Eve is now in remission and cancer-free, and currently in her senior year at Georgia College, majoring in management with a pre-medicine concentration and minor in biology. In addition to her studies, she has been very active and hands-on with Georgia College Miracle, a 365-day, student-run fundraising organization that raises money for the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Macon, Georgia.
